Just Give Me A Reason
As an older sister and babysitter, I am often able to convince my younger siblings to do things, especially the baby. Recently, the baby contracted a pneumonia, and therefore has been forced to take 'yucky' medicine. the first night she had to take the medicine she was terrified of it, and refused to take it. My stepmother had tried for a half hour with no luck. Though my stepmother tried, as time went on the baby began to cry louder. After a while, I finally decided to try to help her. I gave the baby a tight hug and promised her everything would be okay. She stopped crying, but still refused to actually take the medicine. I then made her a promise, if she took the medicine I would give her a 'surprise'. Since she is four years old curiosity took over, and of course she agreed to take the medicine. I kept my promise and ended up giving her a piece of gum, which she absolutely loved. Thankfully, though her pneumonia is not gone, she is feeling much better.
